It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation/reference at the request of Ashley Valente. I have been involved in education for decades with considerable experience in global cosmetic organizations. Ashley began her Aveda Institute (Tampa Bay) training as an intro student in late 2020. As is evident on her resume, Miss Valente has excelled throughout her education with many notable accomplishments.  I will focus on my experiences with her, primarily those related to her clinical abilities and which demonstrate the qualities necessary for a successful career in the beauty/health/spa industry: clinical skills, client care, attention to detail and personal responsibility. I have observed Miss Valente in both the clinic and classroom setting, taught her in class, and overseen her performance during her academic and clinical phases.
In addition to considerable intellect and exemplary performances on examinations, Ashley Valente is a warm, engaging individual who leads others by example, is inclusive, and consistently exhibits curiosity and motivation to learn. She comes prepared for all types of learning situations, having researched the relevant topics so that she can provide quality client care as well as participate actively in class. Ashley is articulate, and able to utilize her knowledge effectively in the clinical setting. In addition to prioritizing her own learning, Miss Valente considers the needs of others. On multiple occasions, she has arrived in class with information on relevant topics tailored for the rest of the class and curriculum. She has been described as one of the best students in the clinic by our instructors and evidenced by many guests that return and pre- book with her or refer their friends to request Ashley. Ultimately demonstrating her dedication, Miss Valente  has been awarded Student of the month and has earned awards for student with the highest rebooking and several weekly highest retail average competitions.
